Plastic V.S. Metal
In my opinion, I would choose a metal feeder because it puts out more food than a plastic feeder. For the plastic feeder you have to shake it a few times before you any get any food out. The metal one, when the chickens peck at it the food comes out instantly. They both don't have any rain protection for both of them which is a downside to both feeders but overall I would choose the metal feeder.

We Have a Little Herb Garden!
We just started to grow some herbs for fun. In about a week or so we had some sprouts, then stems, then we had the finished product. We also have this rosemary bush outside in our backyard. They are super fresh and they last for the whole year. They do well on steaks and things like that. Sometimes they are just a nice decoration to put around the house.

Yogurt
We had some old yogurt in the fridge and we had no idea what to do with it. We decided the best thing to do is to feed it to the chickens! They really enjoy eating it! We mixed it with some bird seeds and Pebbles was the first to try it. She used her curious little beak to make a crevice in the yogurt and turns out, they love it! the next chicken to try it was Shasta. Shasta loves to try new things! In fact, I think she likes the yogurt more than Pebbles! When I came back home, the yogurt disappeared!

Veggie Hanger
Today I made a hanger for the chickens with some rubber bands, string and some vegetables. They really enjoyed it! I put it above the run before I went to work and by the time I got back they ate it all! The veggie hanger prevented them from getting bored when they couldn't go out of the coop! This was also a good way for them to exercise as well!

I Solved It!
I figured out he missing puzzle piece to my egg mystery. Turns out I was correct! Shasta was growling at me and I lifted her up and found Pebble's egg! I am pretty sure Shasta has been sitting there for the whole day because when I collected the egg, it felt like she just laid it. I am just glad to find an egg. All you have to do to stop a broody hen you just have to remove her from the nest and collect the egg and she will figure out that; why am I sitting here! I just hope to find that Shasta lays an egg by tomorrow and doesn't just sit there warming up Pebbles's egg!

The Egg Mystery
Shasta and Pebbles haven't been laying eggs lately. I think the reason is because Shasta has been sitting in the nest for the past days. I hope they start laying more eggs by tomorrow. I am sure hoping to find two eggs in the nest by today! If there is a double egg which can happen I'll be sure to post it!
